The future holds greatness.
Hello G. K. I've been waiting to read one of your poems. The impact of this one will stay with me for a long time.
What a poem! This one grabbed me and carried me all the way through to the (brilliant) end. Stunning, timely and important work, G. K.
*doffs his cap
Thanking you
I like the clarity of detail, and, alternations between (beliefs, prejudices), and metal, tangible things:
They wanted me to believe
their bitterness could be passed on
like the rusting tools
chinking in the Transit van
That close rhyme, ‘on’, ‘van’ clinches it.
Thanks Eric :)
You’re welcome G. K. I’m looking forward to your latest work.
Beautiful, deep and such insight in the writing, into classism, racism, and a deep and genuine love for life. Thank you for writing and for sharing it here. Judi
I was cautious about publishing it because it tackles some dark matter!
It’s very well done, and I sure do understand feeling cautious! Judi
Thanks for the laugh
