A quiet meditation on marriage, loss, and small ordinary acts.
Oh my, this is a gem.
Thank you
I was moved by your poem.
I am humbled. Thank you
You’re welcome.
This is heartbreaking
Thank you for this. My wife passed last July and this describes where I am...
I am so sorry for your loss, I do hope these words helped in some small way. Insignificant as they are in the grand scheme of things
Not insignificant at all. As we Quakers say, this spoke to my condition.
I like the Quaker way -- and the many historical examples of Quakers leading the way both in business, and in peace.
God, I have tears in my eyes. All the pain came out. It's fine, it need to be seen. Real. Beautiful
Wow! That’s why I write. To heal and be healed
You couldn't say it better
I totally get you.
Beautiful
lovely, and moving
❤️
Ooof. Hit me 😫
Right in the feels
Whoa!! I feel this one deep inside.
I’m happy it touched you!
Oh my. This did a number on my divorced heart. ❤️🩹
I do hope you are well, and it helped heal.
There might be some pain that never heals fully. I'm figuring it out.
I often think about the Japanese art of Kintsugi; what is broken is valued more.
my dear Lord
pain has often visited me
turned my insides molten
made me doubt my sanity, my creativity and my own life blood
i try my best to bear it patiently
but i crack too
like glass
into a million pieces
patiently i nurse the pieces
kintsugi, i say
all because you say... Fasbir, I am with the patient
Something i wrote awhile ago... 🌿
Oh my. Superbly written and deeply heart-touching. I love how you drew importance out of the ordinary--milk left on the counter and lights left on in vacated rooms. I'm praying in this moment God's sweet comfort and peace for you.
This is one of my favourites of your poems yet.
Beautiful writing. 🤍
🔥🔥🔥

A beautiful gut punch
Leaves you winded and in tears? :)
Much like that, yes 😊
Damn.
